Abstract

On October 24-27, 2023 in Moscow, at the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the next International Scientific and Practical School-Conference of Young Scientists "History of Russia from Ancient Times to XXI Century: Problems, Discussions, New Views" was held, which this time was timed to the 80th anniversary of the turning point in the course of the Great Patriotic War, which was marked after the victories of the Red Army in the Battle of Stalingrad and Kursk Bulge (1943), as well as the 70th anniversary of the end of the Korean War in 1950-1953. In this connection, the discussion of the fighting on the Soviet-German front in 1943, as well as various aspects of the Soviet Union's foreign policy at the beginning of the Cold War and the relationship between the USSR and the United States during the Korean War took one of the central places at the forum.
