Review of the book "Time of Change. Roshydromet in 1991–2009". M., 2022

Abstract

On August 13, 2022, the author of this review met with the Deputy Director of the Research Center "Planet" V.Y. Veryatin.

In connection with the publication of a new scientific study “Time of Changes”, many issues of publishing scientific literature on the history of the Hydrometeorological Service of the USSR / Russia were discussed. In this direction, little literature is     published on various structures of the meteorological service, science, and especially on the regional Offices of the Weather Service in different periods of their activity. Little is known about the leaders of the Weather Service. If they are concerned about them, then to a greater extent, researchers are representatives of this direction from professional specialists. In 2022, a group of authors of scientists and specialists      published a new book "Time of Changes" edited by the famous scientist, head of Roshydromet (1993–2009) A.I. Bedritsky, which posed priority problems for the     development of this aspect of society's life. They are still waiting for their explorers.
